Where do you find power? It might not reside where you think.
Paul taught that he had discovered power in humility: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
This power is the Spirit of the Restorer dwelling in us. The weaker we are in our selfishness, the more He shines through our lives.
Greater power resides in humbly serving others because it frees us from pride’s bondage and draws others to Christ in us while we grow in our intimacy with both. The more we give up control, the more we find it. Christ is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:24), and His complete power is unlocked in our lives through the key of humility.
Today, realize that ultimate control rests in the hands of the Restorer and live in freedom. When you are weak, He is strong.
